The Burnt Suppers … Inspired by many of the fine things Burns loved and enjoyed himself… mainly music, a wee drink and guid, honest friendship.
We are based in the north east of Scotland and are available to sing and play, for a modest fee, at Burns Suppers and other similar gatherings where there is a need for good Scots music to please the ear and lift the spirits of a convivial group of revellers.
We generally play as a 3 piece band with vocals, acoustic guitar, whistle and bodhrán (sometimes this can be more) and we can play anything from a couple of interlude songs to a larger set of music. As much as we would like be, unfortunately we aren’t a dance band and don't do ceilidhs. (You can’t have one of those without a good fiddle and we wouldn’t claim to have that.) We have a wide range of songs from Burns and elsewhere to choose from but we are willing, with a wee bit of notice, to play specific song lists to meet your needs and get into the character of an evening to create just the right atmosphere for your event.
